I've obviously missed something vital. Could someone please point me to a
resource on how to get Fink going with 10.2?

I've reformatted and installed 10.2 and immediately installed Fink. I then
added "unstable/main" to my tree and installed xfree86-base, the BlackBox
window manager, and a few other essentials. When I open XDarwin, I get the
grey screen with the X cursor, and XDarwin then quits.

Should I be installing everything by compiling from source (`fink install
[package]', right?), or is it just a few things that need to need to be
compiled, or do I need to RTFM, or does Fink-installed software not work on
Thursdays when the moon is in a waning gibbous phase?
