I recently installed fink following the guidelines for a new install under Jaguar and most things install without a problem... however, it appears that some packages have dependencies that don't exist in my package list...
Specifically libpcap and xmame seem to be missing. When I try to install arpwatch or ethereal-ssl, I get the following: Information about 1261 packages read in 1 seconds. pkg ethereal version ### pkg ethereal version 0.9.6-1 WARNING: While resolving dependency "libpcap" for package "ethereal-0.9.6-1", package "libpcap" was not found. Failed: Can't resolve dependency "libpcap" for package "ethereal-0.9.6-1" (no matching packages/versions found) A similar message about xmame comes up when I try to install ckmame. Any thoughts? For the record, I followed the "New Installation" instructions for use under Jaguar and I ran a fink selfupdate-cvs right before sending this to see if libpcap or xmame had been added. -- Aaron Magill [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------- In remembrance www.osdn.com/911/ _______________________________________________ Fink-users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/fink-users
