If your description is accurate, then I don't believe you have had
"exactly the same experience." Raphael reported that FinkCommander
crashes when he "would like to see information [on] a package." Like
Alexander, I believe Raphael means that FinkCommander crashes when he
attempts to invoke Package Inspector. You say that FinkCommander
immediately quits when you attempt "any operations."

I am running FinkCommander with 10.2.1, and I am not having this
difficulty. I'm sure you can appreciate that fixing a bug you can't
reproduce is pretty much impossible unless you get very specific
information. Raphael's problem was specific enough that I at least
have some idea of the type of bug that might be causing his problem.
We're a little short of that yet in your case.

If you would like me to fix this problem, it would helpful to know:

(1) which operations you have attempted when FinkCommander quits;

(2) whether FinkCommander starts up without incident and displays a
complete table of package information;

(3) the messages logged in Console when FinkCommander quits.
