I just re-built openldap-ssl twice (the second time moving /usr/local away, just to confirm), with identical results.
The log is perfect (only curiosity : not updating unwritable cache ./config.cache ... checking for ANSI C header files... yes ... checking for ANSI C header files... (cached) disable ) I get exactly the same command as you (except that -lssl -lcrypto is not reduplicated at the end) _ and it works out as it should: since '-L/sw/lib' is given, libsasl should be found there before that in /usr/lib, and it is /sw/lib/libsasl.7.dylib that should be used, if I understand correctly. Just to be sure: you did build and install cyrus-sasl-1.5.27-14 before? And that build had no problems? I know that I have to move /usr/local fully out of the way for that build to be OK (and possibly also to first remove the old version?)
