Hi,

I am trying to compile GMP with the C++ interface on Mac OS X 10.2.
If I want shared libs, it fails. I told it to the GMP maintainers, who replied:

  Hello,

I try to build GMP 4.1 with the latest Mac Os X 10.2 tools
(downloaded from Apple) and the option --enable-cxx
with CPPFLAGS=-fexceptions and it fails ...

Does someone already succeed? Any idea?

GMP C++ shared libs aren't unsupported on Mac OS X, since libtool
isn't ready for that. Build just the static libs or disable C++.

I tried to build the static libs and it worked fine.
But the C++ shared lib is really what I need!
Any hint?
Any hope (within a reasonable delay!) ?
Should I download and compile the latest libtool to try again?

Thank you in advance,

Fred
