I've been using fink on a fresh jaguar distribution for several weeks
without so much as a hiccup. Today, though, I did a selfupdate, which
when fine, but the subsequent update-all died on the passwd package,
with the following info.
pkg passwd version ###
pkg passwd version 20020329-2
The following package will be installed or updated:
passwd
rm -rf passwd-20020329-2
mkdir -p /sw/src/passwd-20020329-2
patch -p1
</sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/finkinfo/base/passwd-20020329-2.patch
patching file group-fink
patch: **** malformed patch at line 18: diff -ruN
passwd.orig/passwd-fink.in passwd/passwd-fink.in
### execution of patch failed, exit code 2
Failed: patching passwd-20020329-2 failed
Being new to fink (but not opensource), I'm reporting to the maintainer
and the list. If this is inappropriate, I'm sure I'll be informed, but
this is just fyi, as my system seems unaffected (but without the
benefit the patch was intended to afford).
Take care.
