This is probably more appropriate for fink-developers, but I thought
this audience may benefit as well.
While installing octave I found a problem with installation of fftw: it
uses the Jaguar /bin/f77 instead of Fink /sw/g77.
My work-around was to soft-link /sw/bin/g77 to /sw/bin/f77 and then
fftw's configure worked fine.
