Hello, I am wondering whether this is an OS X-specific quirk: A recursive delete (as root) on a given directory via
# rm -rf /theDirectoryToBeDeleted works, but the midnight commander keeps complaining that the directory is not empty and refuses to go further. bash-2.05a# mc --version GNU Midnight Commander 4.5.55 Edition: text mode Virtual File System: tarfs, extfs, ftpfs, mcfs With builtin Editor Using system-installed S-Lang library with termcap database With support for background operations With mouse support on xterm Using default locale This is on Jaguar 10.2.2.
