I had already removed all traces that I could find of XDarwin, X stuff in /usr/X11R6, /etc/X11. Still no dice. I can always go get the XonX package and install that, but that would be capitulation, and this has me mad now.

I just tried compiling and installing 4.2.1.1-3 a little while ago, and had a similar problem. I'm lost right now.
