Yes I did, and it still does not list 4.2.1.1-4.
After again running fink-selfupdate, fink update-all, fink index. I still get the following results for xfree86-base.

Thank you for informing me about the developer tools, I have been unable to get access on a newer copy, but hopefully will be able to soon.
