(2003-01-17 12:27:38) As of the morning of 2003-01-17, project CVS services have been restored (pserver-based CVS repository access and ViewCVS (web-based) repository access had previously been offline). A new limit has been established as (sic) that no more than two pserver connections will be permitted at a time, per IP address; this change has been made to ensure stability of developer CVS access as we work to complete our scalability changes. Additional scalability enhancements, including adjustments to our per-IP connection limits, (to further improve CVS performance, both for developer access and pserver-based access) will likely be introduced during the next two weeks (watch this status page for details).
The site is dramatically slower since it came back online. I'm going to be watching what they do with great curiosity as CVS is not the most efficient server ever written.

I tried it and it reset my connection eventually because I was going too
slowly :( I suspect other people will want to be wworking on it, so it might
be busier than normal for alittle while. (I don't know how long that will
last or whether it will be noticeable)...
cheers

As of 2003-01-14, pserver-based CVS repository access and ViewCVS (web
based) CVS repository access have been taken offline as to stabilize
CVS server performance for developers. These services will be
re-enabled as soon as the underlying scalability issues have been
analyzed and resolved (as soon as 2003-01-15, if possible). Additional
updates will be posted to the Site Status page as they become
available. Your patience is appreciated.
