hi all
just wanted to compile wml-2.0.8-2. error message below. yes, i know,
my own bad if i install perl-5.8 (and even let it replace the default
5.6) . still, i wonder: does this happen with 5.6 as well? why not? why
is my version displayed as 5.008 aynway and how comes 5.008< 5.003? and
last: anyone know a quick fix for that?

checking for Perl language... /usr/bin/perl v5.008
Latest Perl found on your system is 5.008,
but at least Perl version 5.003 is required.
In case the newer one is not in PATH, just use
the option --with-perl=/path/to/bin/perl to
provide the correct executable.
