I didn't notice a "in the way" message/problem, but I am having a pain in the neck with the update of ncurses:

The following 4 packages will be installed or updated:
apt apt-shlibs dpkg ncurses
dpkg -i /sw/fink/dists/stable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/base/ncurses_5.2- 9_darwin-powerpc.deb
(Reading database ... 4077 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace ncurses 5.2-8 (using .../ncurses_5.2-9_darwin-powerpc.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement ncurses ...
dpkg: error processing /sw/fink/dists/stable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/base/ncurses_5.2- 9_darwin-powerpc.deb (--install):
unable to make backup link of `./sw/share/terminfo/1/1178' before installing new version: Too many links
dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
/sw/fink/dists/stable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/base/ncurses_5.2- 9_darwin-powerpc.deb
### execution of dpkg failed, exit code 1
Failed: can't install package ncurses-5.2-9

Any suggestions?

Hi:

I just joined this mail list.

I have just switched over from fink x11 to apple x11. Now I am running "fink selfupdate". I receive the following error messages:

C 10.2/unstable/main/finkinfo/x11-wm/xfce-3.8.18-2.info
cvs update: move away 10.2/unstable/main/finkinfo/x11-wm/xfce-taskbar-3.8.18-1.info; it is in the way
I get a lot of "it is in the way", hundreds. Is this a problem - or can I ignore them?

C 10.2/unstable/main/finkinfo/x11-wm/xfce-taskbar-3.8.18-1.info
### execution of cvs failed, exit code 1
Failed: Updating using CVS failed. Check the error messages above.
Should I just wait it out - or is the apple x11 sdk effecting the build?
