So I'm using OS 10.2.3, with the most recent developer tools.

cleanse,[~],3:12pm% fink -V
Package manager version: 0.11.2
Distribution version: 0.5.1.cvs

I just did a "fink selfupdate-cvs" and then a "fink update-all," and I got this weird message:

WARNING: While resolving dependency "jakarta-oro" for package "commons-validator-1.0.1-1", package "jakarta-oro" was not found.
Failed: Can't resolve dependency "jakarta-oro" for package "commons-validator-1.0.1-1" (no matching packages/versions found)

Now, I checked the selfupdate-cvs's output, I didn't find a jakarta-oro package being removed or added, but the "commons-validator" did get updated. The only packages with "jakarta" in them on my machine are "jakarta-regexp" and "jakarta-servletapi," so the message doesn't seem to be incorrect or anything.

Has anyone else seen this? Was this just a slip-up with the new version of "commons-validator" (a false dependency) or has my package system somehow gotten out of sync.

Nothing is currently broken (I just can't update) so I'm not really too worried-- I am just wondering what sort of measures I should take.

Thanks,

-- Erik
