I'm still waiting for things to compile before I can try this but it sounds interesting/convenient.
The hint's based on xpdf and txt2pdbdoc. Since xpdf is available in Fink and txt2pdbdoc compiles out of the box, shouldn't it be easy to build a Fink package to add this functionality?
