On applications like Exodus you can set up so that it runs xdm and it gives you the choice of machine to log into, and then you get the actual desktop to log into instead of telnetting in.
I know I have xdm (it is in /usr/XR11/bin) but I have no clue how to set it up and use it. Any hints, pointers, documents appreciated.
