I'm having issues installing the system-xfree86 package to satisfy pretty much every other dependancy.

The X11 pkg was downloaded from apple this morning have installed the SDK as required. The error indicates that the pre-installation script is unable to discern the X11 version? For the record - running /usr/X11R6/bin/X -version returns:

XFree86 Version 4.2.1 / X Window System
(protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6600)
Release Date: 3 September 2002
If the server is older than 6-12 months, or if your hardware is
newer than the above date, look for a newer version before
        reporting problems. (See http://www.XFree86.Org/FAQ)
Operating System: Darwin OSVendor

I've tried just about everything I can think of (including manually running dpkg with various --force switches).

Does anyone have any experience with this error [error output follows]?

Thanks,
Drew
