Hi,
I could install KDE on my G4 via fink. But I'm a bit
dissapointed about its responsiveness (too slow).
Does it has to do with the fact that I start it via an
XDarwin shell ("startkde")? I've heard that the
Carbon's X11 is a bit faster.
Furthermore, I can't start it in rootless mode via
XDarwin: it quits unexpectedly.
Last, when it runs in XDarwin, the background is in an
XWindow, the docbar is in its own window etc..
Is there a way to configure it such that it works in
rootless mode with each of its constituents not
contained within XWindows?
