To start xterm from the OSX Terminal, you need to run

setenv DISPLAY :0

first, after starting X11. I'm not sure about the logging issue.

Hi, Alexander--

I installed The latest build (I think) of X11, then opened Terminal. This is
my output:

xterm Xt error: Can't open display: %s

A question, just so I don't waste my time...If I do get this working, will
this log UNIX commands and arguments sent by any application? Essentially,
if lastcomm would log the arguments as well as the commands it would be
perfect.

All My Best,
Jeffrey
