Are you sure you have 6.2?  If so, did you let fink install it?  If so,
then there is a problem with the .info or .patch file, and it needs to
be reported (I'm not sure if you are supposed to mail the maintainer or
file bug, can somebody help me out here?)

You can get around this problem by setting the VIMRUNTIME enviroment
variable.
