[]gcc-3.4-20030806/gcc/../include ../../gcc-3.4-20030806/gcc/opts.c -o opts.o ../../gcc-3.4-20030806/gcc/opts.c: In function `common_handle_option': ../../gcc-3.4-20030806/gcc/opts.c:634: warning: ISO C forbids forward references to `enum' types
[and so on]../../gcc-3.4-20030806/gcc/opts.c:641: `OPT__help' undeclared (first use in this function)
The definition of 'enum opt_code' (which contains OPT__help etc) is in the file darwin/gcc/options.h which is generated by the shell script gcc-3.4-20030806/gcc/opts.sh. Something must have gone wrong there. Look at that file whether this definition is there. Also look in your compile log whether you see anything suspicious concerning options.h or opts.sh.
Do you have any weird shell instead of /bin/sh, or any special version of awk? What awk does configure find?
