Your Fink installation is set up to update package descriptions directly from
CVS. Do you want to use this setup and update now? [Y/n] y
I will now run the cvs command to retrieve the latest package descriptions.
The 'su' command will be used to run the cvs command as the user 'sra'. After
that, the core packages will be updated right away; you should then update
the other packages using commands like 'fink update-all'.
su sra -c 'cvs -z3 update -d -P' *** malloc: vm_allocate(size=1342177280) failed with 3 *** malloc[1623]: error: Can't allocate region cvs [update aborted]: can not reallocate 1342177280 bytes ### execution of su failed, exit code 1 Failed: Updating using CVS failed. Check the error messages above.
This looks very similar to the error reported by Peter Lichtner on 29 September. following up on his followup to his own message, I reinstalled the (December, 2002) Developer tools, but no luck.
How else can I update fink? (I'm running 10.2.6 on a dual 1.25 mHz machine).
Thanks,
