I've seen the talk of the (experimental?) feature for updating using rsync....

Is this a feature that can be freely switched back and forth, using 
selfupdate-cvs and selfupdate-rsync, or are there more settings that would 
need to be changed to do so?  Would there be risk of screwing up fink by 
switching (and potentially switching back again)?

This is the third day where all I've gotten are connection errors when I try 
updating via cvs...but the list overall seems quiet about it, so I don't know 
if it's me or just a small number of us or if the list members just aren't 
talking about it...maybe fink is getting too popular :-)
