You need dlcompat-shlibs. I'm not sure how you were able to install everything you did without dlcompat-shlibs being installed, since a lot of packages depend on it.

I've also just switched to the rsync method of updating fink and it says all my packages (except Abiword) are up to date when I try and run update-all.
