I already posted a question about X11 1.0 upgrade and im still stuck with fink who want to replace xfree86 libs with internal ones. After more reading in archives, i saw that other users have the same problem:
Yes, but there are many others who don't. I have been running xemacs for a long time with Apple's X11 without fink wanting to install another xfree86 package.
So you should try to find out which package it is that wants you to install xfree86: Take the list of packages that fink proposes to install and try to install them one by one.
In the 10.2-gcc3.3 tree, I see only the following packages that would want to do this:
root3-threaded-3.05.05-11 and -3.05.07-13 mozilla-browser-xft2-1.3-2 xine-ui-0.9.13-13 libxine-0.9.13-14
While one can argue that these packages are broken on 10.3, none of them has anything to do with xemacs.
In the 10.3 tree as of this morning, the list is even shorter, namely empty. Which tree are you using, BTW? And which version of fink?

Please give an answer. I'm stuck this that and really need xemacs for writing code ;)
