Hi, I had Jaguar installed and fink 0.6.0.cvs. Today I went for Panther. I did a standard upgrade. Everything went well, I had no problems at all. I thought, there would be some problems with fink packages.
Still, I have some questions: (1) I was installing Xcode and X11SDK as I have read. I have now gcc 3.3 installed. I thought that I would have to re-compile all of fink, but everything seems to work as it is. I also did "fink selfupdate" and "fink update-all". However, in fink.conf I still have one line saying "Distribution: 10.2". Is this OK? Should it not be 10.3? Do I need to do something? (2) I had to delete Apple's former X11, because the new one was installed within the Utilities directory. Is there anything else to do beside moving X11 to the trash? (OK, I know, this question is not fink related...) Claus ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
