I upgraded to Panther and installed all of the X11 and Xcode packages,
but when I did a fink selfupdate I did not get any finkinfo for the
10.3 tree even after changing the fink.conf file. Therefore, I
downloaded the fink-0.6.0-full tar ball, and did a ./inject.pl to get
the 10.3 tree. Then I did a fink selfupdate and an update-all and no
10.3 packages were updated! Previous to upgrading I had compiled all
the packages I needed in the 10.2 gcc3.3 tree, but I thought that
updating and changing to the 10.3 dist. would cause at least some of
the files to be compiled in the 10.3 tree? I have fink 0.16.0-1
installed. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I hoped not to
have to do a clean install of fink, but I will bootstrap fink if that
is what I have to do.
By the way, the Panther upgrade went very smoothly, and I can use
Apple's X11 1.0 and xemacs (stable) with no problems. I can not use
emacs21 though.
Thanks for the help
