I sent a note out about this a few days ago but saw no response. I still
can't install abiword via fink. When I try, this is what I get:
% fink install abiword

Looking in /sw/fink/dists I see these abiword-related files:

What version of Fink are you using? OS version?
I installed abiword fine under Panther (OS 10.3) with gcc 3.3 after installing Fink from the 0.6 source.
Package manager version: 0.16.0 Distribution version: 0.6.0.cvs
I have the following abiword files under Fink:
/sw/fink/dists/stable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/editors/abiword-1.0.3 -12_darwin-powerpc.deb
/sw/fink/dists/stable/main/finkinfo/editors/abiword-1.0.3-12.patch
/sw/fink/dists/stable/main/finkinfo/editors/abiword-1.0.3-12.info
/sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/finkinfo/editors/abiword-1.0.3-12.patch
/sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/finkinfo/editors/abiword-1.0.3-12.info
Try running selfupdate and then update-all before installing abiword
