Hi,
I recently upgrade to 10.3 and I wanted to upgrade fink the the most recent version as well... at first I didn't do it in the right order; but after reading all the info about fink and 10.3, I think I do it the right way now. Most apps seems to work fine; except for the KDE apps. I use kmail as my email application so I would like to get it to work someday :)
Anyway, this is what I get when I try to run kmail (or any other kde app):
/sw/lib/libqt-mt.3.dylib undefined reference to _FT_Access_Frame expected to be defined in /usr/X11R6/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib
/sw/lib/libqt-mt.3.dylib undefined reference to _FT_Forget_Frame expected to be defined in /usr/X11R6/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib
/sw/lib/libqt-mt.3.dylib undefined reference to _FT_Get_Long expected to be defined in /usr/X11R6/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib
/sw/lib/libqt-mt.3.dylib undefined reference to _FT_Get_Short expected to be defined in /usr/X11R6/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib
/sw/lib/libqt-mt.3.dylib undefined reference to _FT_Seek_Stream expected to be defined in /usr/X11R6/lib/libfreetype.6.dylib
Trace/BPT trap
So it looks to me that libqt is looking for a freetype lib in Apple's X11 directory... does that make sense?
Some background info:
- Fink 0.6.1
- OSX 10.3
- install procedure:
- rm -rf /sw /usr/X11R6 /etc/X11; installed the fink 0.6.1 DMG from scratch
- installed Apple X11 and the X11 SDK
- apt-get update ; apt-get install kmail (no, it didn't try to install xfree86 too)
Any ideas?
TIA...
Ricardo.
