I am still having the same problem. Claus wrote about this several days ago, and someone said they thought it was a bug in the fink package manager, but we are up to fink 0.17.0 now, and this problem is still here. Perhaps it is something else? I do not have this problem with the python23 or python23-socket files. They show the Epoch 1 number, but do not try to continuously reinstall themselves during an update-all. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.
