Does anyone have a clue why I could not send any email without using a VPN connection? By the way both providers mentioned above are working fine under mac os x 10.3 without VPN.
Does your mail server require a secure connection? Could be you've got kdelibs3/kdebase3 instead of kdelibs3-ssl/kdebase3-ssl, and if that's the case you couldn't do IMAPS or POP3S...
Not sure what else could cause such issues.
