I noticed that your version of fink is rather old. I realize you are not
choosing to use the CVS updates, but even the "point release" method has
updated a few times. Try again after running "fink selfupdate."

Thanks for the help getting postfix to install. The installation went smoothly. I am now trying to set it up use sasl. Do I need to patch postfix to allow usage? I installed 2.0.15-1.
I added the necessary auth lines to the main.cf file, started saslauthd and restarted postfix. I get the following:
