[Fink-users] Xman and man.conf

I'd like to create/incorporate a man.conf file in order to use xman 
better, but I see that the manconf package's purpose is to remove 
man.conf from binary users' setups. What are the problems with using 
man.conf, and do they apply to my setup, since it's all from source?
