Thanks for the hint. I rebuilt openjade which solved the problem. The error quoted in my first posting is still there, but it is not fatal.

RemiBTW: I think it is very bad that [EMAIL PROTECTED] is a closed list while it is listed as maintainer for the gnome packages. This translates for me to: we put it out there, but we are not interested to hear anything about it unless you are a maintainer....
