I just tried to do a fink selfupdate (using cvs as I'm behind a firewall and rsync doesn't work). The update pauses at:
cvs server:[time info] waiting for costabel's lock in /cvsroot/fink/dists/10.3/stable/main/finkinfo/x11-wm
I hope this didn't last for more than 30 seconds? Cvs gives exlusive rights to one user for a short time, and when a second user tries to use the same directory, even just for reading, he will get that message. Usually, the next retry after 30 seconds will succeed. If the situation persist (so-called "stale lock"), one has to file a bug report with sourceforge and ask them to reset the lock. Sourceforge's cvs has been acting erratically for the last couple of days. Anoncvs seems to be down right now.
