I figured I would add my method of successfully getting the latest build of Evolution to install under xfree86 using Gnome as it was a major pain in the butt and it might help others get it installed…  I tried to follow a guide posted around the web and it didn’t work so well…

OSX 10.3.2 Server

Fink 0.5.1

Xfree86 4.3.99.901-2

Bundle-gnome 2.4.1-1

How I got it to install:

*Set up CVS version of Fink

Info here:

http://homepage.mac.com/sao1/fink/help.html

and here:

http://fink.sourceforge.net/faq/index.php

*Install bundle-gnome.  I used newest unstable, so I dunno if the binary version will work. -LET IT TELL YOU WHAT IT NEEDS thru dependency errors - VERY time consuming, yet worthwhile (I'm pretty sure that’s how I got the 'correct' flavor of xfree86 to install after I manually removed the newest one I manually installed).  Read and research dependency errors here:

http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/maillist.html

-Use suggestions from research or generally I just used Fink to delete problematic dependencies from errors listed -Use Fink to install newest sources of dependant files

If there is a better way, could someone point it out, as I may have to do this again J
