Hi,
I've installed Fink's emacs and I'd like to personalize it (i.e. add some .el files to site-package dir). Can I simply add them to /sw/share/emacs/site-lisp? Or is it better to put them somewhere else in order to preserve my settings from future Fink's upgrade? And in the latter case which is a good place for them? And how can I tell emacs to look there?
I did a Google search for "site-lisp" and found somebody's setup. It was in ~/emacspub/site-lisp . I'm not sure whether emacs automatically looks there or not.
