I want fink to rebuild MySQL, but I need to specify an additional #define, via CFLAGS=-DUSE_OLD_FUNCTIONS. How do I tell fink to do that? I tried setting it in the environment (setenv CFLAGS -DUSE_OLD_FUNCTIONS), then telling fink to rebuild, but that didn't work (nm reports that the mysql_connect symbol isn't in /sw/lib/libmysqlclient.a).
Did you set the environment in your shell, or by modifying the .info file? I believe you need to do the latter.
