If I remember right, yesterday fink compiled a new arts form me. So I setup a link to libartsc.0.0.0.dylib and now I get this:
dyld: mplayer version mismatch for library: /sw/lib/libartsc.1.dylib (compatibility version of user: 3.0.0 greater than library's version: 1.0.0)

What did I do wrong?

Try rebuilding mplayer.
