gzip -dc /sw/src/dpkg-1.10.9.tar.gz | /sw/bin/tar -xf - sh: /sw/bin/gzip: No such file or directory
What is strange is that the command line only says "gzip", whereas sh complains about "/sw/bin/gzip". Do you have some other candidate for "gzip", for example in /usr/local/bin or ~/bin, some alias or symlink? What does "where gzip" give?
