Hello,

I tryed to compile GTK2+. At the end of the compilation, i had an error message:

something like, " this procces cannot replace your current X11 configuration ((/etc/X11 and/or /usr/X11R6). If you want to replace it delete this current config and rebuild XFree86....."

I moved /etc/X11 t X11.sav and X11R6 to X11R6.sav i rebuild the stuff...

Will this has a chance to work? (it is still compiling...)

Well my current X11 config work? I mean Gimp, OOo and so on...

Thanks for your help.

What you did should work. Did you install the X11 SDK package before you tried this, though?

Also, what version of XFree86 is Fink installing? It may not work on your system if you have Panther.
