On March 15 I ran
        fink selfupdate
        fink update-all
after I had installed bundle-kde-ssl , in order to update to KDE 3.2.

I got a few warnings early on:

WARNING: The package kopete Depends on ekg-ssl-shlibs,
but ekg-ssl-shlibs only allows things to BuildDepend on it.

WARNING: The package kopete Depends on ekg-shlibs,

Then I got similar warnings to my last KDE install, I think during libarts:

Anyway it kept going.

Something in my install believes it needs all of gnome and gtk! fink installed /sw/src/root-gtk+2-2.2.4-2. I did choose the "not ``-nox''" versions of some tools when I first did install kde-bundle-ssl, but this still seems odd.

Here are some of the binaries in /sw/bin in date order during the update. Note the next thing installed after gtk-demo was intltool, which is indeed a gnome binary, but it doesn't seem to depend on GTK.

Mar 17:23 gconftool-2
Mar 17:14 xslt-config
Mar 17:14 xsltproc
Mar 17:09 xml2-config
Mar 17:09 xmlcatalog
Mar 17:09 xmllint
Mar 16:56 intltool-extract
Mar 16:56 intltool-merge
Mar 16:56 intltool-prepare
Mar 16:56 intltool-update
Mar 16:56 intltoolize
Mar 16:56 xml-i18n-toolize
Mar 16:54 gtk-demo
Mar 16:54 gtk-query-immodules-2.0
Mar 16:53 gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders
Mar 16:53 gdk-pixbuf-csource
Mar 16:17 doxygen
Mar 16:17 doxytag
Mar 15:29 artsrec
Mar 15:29 artsshell
Mar 15:28 artswrapper
Mar 15:28 artscat

Anyway it kept going and got through installing games, graphics, kdict, etc. with no errors. Well done, a big improvement!

I'm sending RangerRick a few things from his Amazon wishlist.
