I've had similar problem with postgresql-python-py23 nearly one month ago. I submitted a new entry in the bug tracker, but I've not had any feedback. Please go to the bug tracker page and search for bugs submitted by "ariciputi" (it's me!), yuo'll find it easily.

Further all the postgresql packages has many problems. For more informations see the other bug tracker from me!! It's a pity that they have not been fixed yet!
