I was having a problem with selfupdate, where it would stop when it couldn't install bzip2. I messed around a bit and am still getting the same error. Even when I tried to update bzip2 on it's own.

Here are some new errors regarding 'ln' I get when doing a selfupdate
---Start
ln 'Release' '/sw/fink.tmp/fink/10.2/unstable/crypto/binary-darwin-powerpc/Release'
/bin/mkdir -p '/sw/fink.tmp/fink/10.2/stable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc'
ln 'Packages.gz' '/sw/fink.tmp/fink/10.2/stable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/Packages.gz'
ln: /sw/fink.tmp/fink/10.2/stable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/Packages.gz: Too many links
### execution of ln failed, exit code 1
Failed: Can't copy file "/sw/fink.tmp/fink/10.2/stable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/Packages.gz"
---End
Can you recall what might be the cause? or a way to limit the amount of links? I am checking the unstable tree as well... but that wasn't a problem originally.
I appreciate your attention.

I've seen similar errors on the lists before--not recently, though. Do you have an unusually large number of symbolic links?

has anyone else had this problem? Has anyone any ideas? I'm running Fink .70 on a mac 10.2 G4.
