I've just installed kword (from source after a clean fink 0.7 install on a PowerBook G4/400 ;-)
asterix:~ sir$ fink list | grep kword i kword 1.3-23 KDE - word processor
When I try to start kword, it fails with the following messages.
asterix:~ sir$ kword
kio (KSycoca): Trying to open ksycoca from /private/var/tmp/kdecache-sir/ksycoca
kio (KTrader): KServiceTypeProfile::offers( KOfficePart, )
kio (KTrader): Returning 10 offers
I don't see an error there. That's the entirety of the output? Anything in Console.app (since you don't redirect the output of startkde anywhere...) ?
