I have just ran selfupdate-all and I was asked to make a choice between freetype2-dev and freetype2-hinting-dev: how to know the best choice?

[chamaerops:~] guy% fink update-all
/usr/bin/sudo /sw/bin/fink update-all
Information about 3116 packages read in 3 seconds.

fink needs help picking an alternative to satisfy a virtual dependency. The
candidates:

(1) freetype2-dev: TrueType font rendering library, version 2, headers
(2) freetype2-hinting-dev: TrueType font rendering library, version 2, headers

Here's the description of "hinting" (this is from freetype-hinting, rather than freetype2-hinting):

This package has hinting enabled. Some techniques used for that are
patented by Apple; which means you may only use this version of the
package if you have an appropriate patent license from Apple. If you
don't, use the freetype package instead.
