I can see Scribus on the pkg lists, but sudo apt-get install scribus returns a "can't find pkg, nothing to do " msg." Could this be because I was trying this through my schools network (Limewire won't work there, either). Oddly, I was able to do apt-get update, and dselect showed new pkgs, but I can't seem to get any of them. ( I wanted xscrabble, xgalaga and scribus, all of which, of course, are very important to my work as a teacher, especially xgalaga). Perhaps I should just try at home (this is my iBook that goes back adn forth to school) this weekend, but I was curious.
