The FAQ entry is somewhat outdated. For Panther, storable-pm is an empty package, not needed in fact. You can remove it. System-perl is a virtual package that shows up automatically. If you really installed these, make sure you didn't install anything that was compiled while an older version of perl was installed. Your error messages seem to indicate that you did this.
