Okay, so I've been doing a bunch more troubleshooting, and looking around, and I've discovered that running fink list tells me that libiconv is in fact installed. The version number listed is 1.9.1-11, which seems to be the same as the version number that fink insists I need to install. How can a package be listed as installed but not be installed? Alternatively, how can a package not be installed, but be listed as installed? I'm confused!!!
