Hi,
maybe someone can answer me this (stupid ?) question:
why doesn't fink provide a virtual package for python, installed in "/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.3/bin/python" by default on a fresh osx 10.3 system as it does for perl & x11 and other software packages coming with osx.
Many fink packages rely on python and I'm wondering why it is necessary to have a double installation of python, which I find somehow confusing.
Did I miss something important ? Thanks for enlightenment.
